A place to grieve

Grief comes in many forms and is not something that’s easily remedied.  One helpful strategy is to know that you are not grieving alone, and that there are others going through similar situations.

If you are lucky, they might be physical grief support groups in your area.  If not, you might turn to the often vacuous Internet to express your grief.  It can feel like shouting into a black hole.

No matter where you are though, you can be sure that there are people around you feeling the same thing.  Maybe just not enough to warrant a physical group, but they are there.   That’s where the local web comes in.  People can share their stories and feelings, either anonymous or not, to localweb.is/grieving and others in the area can respond and make a connection.

The realization that you are not the outlier that you think you are can be very powerful and a great first step in the healing process.

We are building the local web and sharing a new way to use it each day.
