Spreading the gospel, locally
Religion can be a difficult topic to talk about with your neighbors, especially when you have no religion at all or ascribe to a minority religion in a predominately Christian country.
Chances are there are people around you that hold the same minority religious beliefs. But since we usually don’t call attention to them (and when you’re surrounded by the majority) it’s hard to connect.
Sunday services have been the tie that binds many communities in this country for centuries. The lack of a belief in God doesn’t have to include forgoing a connection to your fellow non-believer. In some towns, followers of the /pastafarian URL get together for pasta salad, beer, and BBQ Sunday afternoons. This becomes the tie that binds them.
We are building the local web and sharing a new way to use it each day.
